I just did the most spontaneous thing ever (besides piercing my cartilage)

Ok...I just did a very spontaneous thing...and it felt awesome. I dyed my hair...don't freak out mom and dad, it's not wild or anything. I just made my hair a darker shade of brown. Instead of a "blah" brown it is now...roasted chestnut...or dark warm brown. I love it...it's something new and different and fun. I mean, I'm 18, I'm in the primetime of my life, I gotta live it out and do crazy (but responsible and safe) things every once in a while. I think my hair looks vibrant and like it has been given life! Life has been sprung back into my hair. HA! Well, I'm gonna study calculus now! Oh! Here are pictures of the transformation!

a Lord of the Rings weekend

I had an exciting weekend, but before I begin to tell you all about it I want to first let you guys know that I found the pink highlighter that I thought the gnome thief stole. But we are still missing my comb and Ashley's belt so the gnome thief is still out there! Jared and Yvonne arrived around 8pm Friday night and Mark, Matt, and I met them at the Courier. It was so awesome to see them, I haven't seen them since...August 19th! Reggie came along too, he's getting bigger! After dinner I showed them my dorm room and we walked around the Quad! Saturday, Yvonne picked me up around 8am and we began our roadtrip to Indianapolis...once we got near the city we got a little lost following the mapquest directions, but eventually found our way downtown! We went to the Indiana State Museum and went to "The Lord of the Rings" exhibit. It was really cool. They had a lot of costumes (of Aragon, Arwen, Legolas, Gimli, Gandalf, Saruman...) and props (Aragorn's sword--Anduril, Arwen's necklace, Eomer's helmet, a lot of weaponry and more costumes!). It was cool to stand 2 feet away from Aragorn's costume, and think that Viggo Mortensen once wore it...and to stand 2 feet away from Legolas' costume and think that Orlando Bloom once wore it....it was sweet! It was a bummer we couldn't take pictures in there. Afterwards we went to a nearby mall and had lunch and shopped. That night we went to Hard Rock Cafe. It was a fun time to be with my sister-in-law, we watched Lord of the Rings DVDs, this was definitely a LOTR weekend! We left Sunday morning and went to Quest. Quest is now doing a series on the Old Testament, and they had a drama to introduce the whole Old Testament...it was hilarious. At one point the guy playing Moses was impersonating Napolean Dynamite...it was funny! Then Jared, Yvonne, Matt, and I, went to a bar for lunch and watched the Packer game, they dominated and won! After saying goodbye to Jared and Yvonne, I unpacked and then went to play football with I-lifers. It was my first time playing an "official" football game. I fell twice-haha...I definitely bruised my tailbone, cause it hurts to sit! Well the pictures here are some life size cut outs from LOTR characters and an Argonath! I definitely wanted a life size Aragorn but it was 27 dollars and I had no room in my dorm room. oh well.
